Alert BSF troops in general area of Villages – Daoke and Bharopal of Distt – Amritsar, heard buzzing sound of drone coming from Pakistan to India on Sunday. Upon which troops fired in the direction of the sound of drone and then, they also heard sound of dropping of drone in the Farming field, on own side of border fence.
In an other report three packets of contraband heroin recovered in Amritsar Sector on Sunday.
The contraband recovered values 65 croresin international market.
BSF spokesman in Jalandhar said, the whole area was immediately cordoned off and Police and Air Force Station Barnala were immediately informed.(SUBHEAD)
Further, during search of the general area, search party recovered 01 Hexacopter (Drone) and 01 black coloured bag wrapped in yellow coloured adhesive tape lying in farming field near Gurudwara of Vill – Bharopal, district Amritsar.
There was 01 holding and releasing mechanism in the Hexacopter and the consignment was hanged with this mechanism through iron ring. Three Wing Rods of Hexacopter were found in damaged condition.
On opening the Consignment, 09 packets (Gross weight – 10.670 Kgs) suspected to be heroin were recovered.Alert troops of BSF once again were able to capture a drone and foil smuggling attempt of smugglers /ANEs.
Meanwhile during morning hours on Monday, Border Security Force troops carried-out patrolling ahead of Border security fencing in Attari area of Amritsar Sector. They recovered 03 packets of contraband suspected to be Heroin from the farming field. These suspected heroin packets were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape. Out of the recovered 03 packets, 01 packet was found in completely burnt condition due to fire set on the stubble by the farmer.
