MAJOR BREAK THROUGH BY ARRESTING ACCUSED INVOLVED IN CHEATING CASE BY PROVIDING FAKE VENDER LICENSE

As per directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, I.P.S, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh, under the close guidance of Ms. K.M Priyanka, W/S.P/City Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh Dhiraj Kumar, SDPO/South West a team of officials of Police Station, Sector-39, Chandigarh headed by Insp. Rajiv Kumar, SHO/PS-39, got major success by arresting one accused namely Rajesh Kumar S/o Shubhash Chander R/o H. No. 3242/1, Sector 41D Chd age 35 yrs in case FIR No. 61 dated 27.04.2026, U/S 318(4), 319(2), 338, 336(3), 340 BNS, PS-39, Chandigarh.

The above noted case was registered on the complaint of Sh. Mukesh Giri & Navneet Chawla, Member Town Wending Committee, MC Chandigarh . Complainant alleged that one vendor of Sector 41 Chandigarh selling his goods in-front of Park Sector-41, Chandigarh came to them and reported that one person deposing himself as MC Inspector issuing fake vendor licences. When they verified the said documents, the same found fake. The said fake Inspector took Rs. 1000 to 1500 from the poor vendors and cheated them. The documents issued by the alleged are also found fake while verified from MC Chandigarh.

During the course of investigation, accused Rajesh Kumar S/o Shubhash Chander R/o H. No. 3242/1, Sector 41D Chd age 35 yrs was arrested accordingly. Accused Rajesh Kumar produced in court and his One (01) day Police remand obtained
