FAZILKA POLICE SEIZE 4 ILLEGAL PISTOLS WITH MAGAZINES AND 7 LIVE ROUNDS

Under a special operation by Fazilka police, ASI Ranjit Singh’s team arrested two persons during patrolling and recovered 4 illegal pistols with magazines and 7 live rounds.

Tarun Ratan, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Fazilka said that the police party saw two suspicious youths on the link road from village Sukhera to Fattuwala, both tried to run away on seeing the police party. When the police searched these suspicious youths, 4 illegal pistols with magazines and 7 live cartridges were recovered from their possession. The arrested individuals were identified as Harnek Singh alias Neki and a minor, both residents of Fattuwala.

A case under Sections 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at Sadar Jalalabad police station and further proceedings are ongoing. The forward and backward links of the accused are being investigated.

Preliminary investigation revealed that these weapons were ordered by them from Pakistan through drones. The accused will be remanded and interrogated more thoroughly. During interrogation, if any other person is found to be involved, he will also be named in the case and action will be taken according to law. A total of 3 cases had been registered against the accused Harnek Singh at Sadar Jalalabad Police Station in the past
