ERV-112 POLICE VEHICLE DRIVER ACCUSED OF “DRAINING FUEL”, SUSPENDED

In Kallar Khera police post, connected to Khuian Sarwar police station, police officials have taken strict action against a driver who was accused of “draining fuel” from the Emergency Response Vehicle 112. As a result, senior police officials suspended the cop and initiated an internal investigation. Sources said that a video of the incident went viral on social media. After seeing the video, officials took immediate action. The vehicle was parked at the time.

Lovdeep Singh Gill, the SP (Headquarter) Fazilka, said that the government vehicle with the registration number PB 65 BN 8061, belonging to the police post in Kallarkhera area of Fazilka district, was allegedly involved in this incident. The video of Senior Constable Raghubir Singh extracting fuel from the vehicle’s fuel tank was recorded and posted on social media.

After this incident came to the attention of senior police officials, the cop was suspended. Further action is being taken against him. The SP said that a departmental investigation has been initiated against the said cop. He added that no one, not even a police officer, will be spared if they violate the law or do something wrong.
