ONE OF THE ACCUSED CONDUCTED RECCE OF POLICE ESTABLISHMENTS IN DELHI, TWO FOREIGN MADE PISTOLS AND NINE LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED

A team led by Insp. Satish Rana and Insp. Ashok under the supervision of Sh. Vivek Kumar Tyagi, ACP/NDR, Special Cell, in an inter-state operation arrested four accused, who were planning to carry out a terror activity in Delhi on the instructions of ISI handler Shahzad Bhatti and his associates. The accused were using foreign numbers to avoid detection. These numbers were arranged by their Pakistani handlers. FIR under relevant sections of BNS and AA has been registered in this regard.
The accused identified as Shubdeep Singh @ Vishal S/o Satnam Singh, R/o District Tarn Taran, Punjab, Age 23 years., Gurjant Singh @ Rishi S/o Sh. Satnam Singh, R/o District Tarn Taran, Punjab, Age 22 years., Sajan Singh @ Honey S/o Sh. Gopal Singh, R/o District Amritsar, Punjab, Age 28 years., Gaganpreet S/o Sukhwinder R/o District Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab Age-24 Years.
Recoveries: Two small arms (01 Zigana Pistol and one .30 bore Pistol), 09 live cartridges, 05 mobile phones
Information and Operation: Special Cell, NDR has received a credible and specific input that Pakistan-based ISI handler Shahzad Bhatti, along with his other Pak-based associates, was planning a terror incident in Delhi-NCR. Input further revealed that they had recruited youth from Punjab in this regard.
Based on source information and technical analysis, several suspects were identified and questioned after conducting multiple raids across Delhi and Punjab. The first arrest was made from Majitha Road, Amritsar, Punjab and one semi-automatic Pistol, 05 live cartridges and two mobile phones were recovered from the accused Shubdeep Singh. During interrogation, he revealed that he was maintaining contact with Pak-based handlers of Shahzad Bhatti network and receiving arms and narcotics through drones.
During the course of investigation, two of his associates namely Gurjant Singh @ Rishi and Sajan Singh @ Honey were apprehended from Punjab. One Zigana pistol, 04 live cartridges and 02 mobile phones were recovered from them.4. Later, on 24.04.26, one more accused Gaganpreet was apprehended from Delhi and one mobile phone with several incriminating evidence was recovered from him. He was tasked to conduct recce of religious places and police establishments in Delhi by his Pak handlers. He was also tasked to execute a firing incident in Delhi, said Mr.Praveen Kumar Tripathi, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, NDR, Delhi Police.
KNOW THE ACCUSED:
Shubdeep Singh @ Vishal, is a resident of Tarn Taran, Punjab, located approximately 3 km from the Pakistan border. He used to receive consignments of Pistols and Narcotic substances through drones. He was using foreign number for communication with Pak-based ISI handlers and drone operators. He was previously arrested by Punjab Police in an NDPS case.
Gurjant Singh @ Rishi, is a resident of Tarn Taran, Punjab. He was in contact with ISI handlers through foreign numbers. He along with his cousin Sajan Singh @ Honey used to receive arms and narco consignments from Pakistan through drones.
Sajan Singh @ Honey is a resident of Amritsar, Punjab. He was also using foreign numbers to communicate with Pakistani ISI handlers. He was previously arrested by Punjab Police in an NDPS case.
Gaganpreet is a resident of District Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. He was in contact with Pakistani handlers through Social Media. He was assigned task of making videos of Police Stations and police pickets in Delhi and execute firing on them.
