SANT KABIR SAHIB’S MESSAGE OF LOVE AND EQUALITY REMAINS RELEVANT TODAY: SUNITA DUGGAL

A state-level celebration marking the 629th Prakash Parv (Birth Anniversary) of Sant Shiromani Kabir Sahib Ji was organized by Sant Shiromani Dhanak Sabha, Abohar at Punjab Palace, Hanumangarh Road. BJP National Executive Member and former Member of Parliament Sunita Duggal attended the event as the Chief Guest.

Paying tribute to Sant Kabir Sahib, Sunita Duggal said that his teachings continue to inspire society with the values of equality, brotherhood, social harmony, and humanity. She emphasized that Sant Kabir strongly opposed social evils such as caste discrimination and untouchability, while advocating the path of love, truth, and communal harmony—principles that remain highly relevant in today’s society.

Notably, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also attended a Sant Kabir Jayanti celebration in Ludhiana on Sunday. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been steadily strengthening its outreach in Punjab through social, religious, and public engagement programmes. Former Member of Parliament and BJP National Executive Member Sunita Duggal has consistently been entrusted with important organisational responsibilities by the party. She has previously served as the party’s in-charge for Punjab, and her continued presence at key events and organisational activities reflects the confidence reposed in her by the party leadership and her proven organisational capabilities.

She further stated that the younger generation should draw inspiration from Sant Kabir Sahib’s teachings and actively contribute to nation-building and social development. Promoting education, social unity, and mutual respect, she added, is the need of the hour.

The event witnessed the participation of a large number of devotees, representatives of social organizations, and distinguished citizens. Spiritual discourses highlighting the life and philosophy of Sant Kabir Sahib, along with cultural performances, captivated the audience.
