Pujya Brahmavihari Swami, other BAPS swamis and volunteers, visited the global headquarters of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The LDS Church, often referred to as the Mormon Church, is a global Christian faith with over 17 million members and 30,000 congregations across more than 160 countries.

They toured several key Church sites, including Deseret Industries on Welfare Square and the Conference Center on historic Temple Square. At the Conference Center, he also attended a live organ recital.

(SUBHEAD)They had a meeting with the First Presidency-the highest governing body of the LDS Church. Pujya Brahmavihari Swami met with President Dallin H. Oaks and President Henry B. Eyring. Several senior Church leaders including Elder David A. Bednar and Elder Patrick Kearon of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles; Elder Anthony D. Perkins, President of the Middle East/Africa North Area; and Elder Matthew S. Holland, Executive Director of the Church Communication Department also participated.

In a spirit of deep mutual respect, the faith leaders engaged in a meaningful dialogue focused on promoting global harmony, peace, and service. Both the First Presidency and Pujya Brahmavihari Swami expressed their shared aspiration to foster a more compassionate and unified world. The conversation highlighted common values and discussed ongoing humanitarian and peacebuilding efforts led by both faith communities.

The LDS Church leaders acknowledged BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi as a shining example of the values of tolerance and unity.

Pujya Brahmavihari Swami conveyed the vision and guidance of BAPS chief Mahant Swami Maharaj. The leaders also exchanged insights about BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Robbinsville, New Jersey as well as the humanitarian initiatives undertaken by BAPS in North America and around the world.
