GANG OF HUMAN TRAFFICKERS INVOLVED IN FORCING WOMEN INTO PROSTITUTION AT GB ROAD BROTHEL UNEARTHED

THREE WOMEN ACCUSED INVOLVED IN HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND EXPLOITATION ARRESTED,  TWO FEMALE VICTIMS RESCUED FROM KOTHA NO. 58, GB ROAD, IN TWO SEPARATE CASES. VICTIMS WERE LURED ON THE PRETEXT OF EMPLOYMENT AND SUBSEQUENTLY FORCED INTO PROSTITUTION. ONE VICTIM WAS BROUGHT FROM WEST BENGAL TO DELHI AND SOLD TO A BROTHEL CARETAKER. SECOND VICTIM WAS THREATENED WITH HARM TO HER SON IF SHE REFUSED TO PERFORM PROSTITUTION.
• CASES REGISTERED UNDER SECTIONS 137(2)/143(2)/144(1)/64(2)/61/3(5) BNS AND SECTIONS 3/5/6 OF THE ITP ACT.
• ACCUSED PARO KHATOON, MANJU AND GEETA HAD EARLIER BEEN INVOLVED IN A HUMAN TRAFFICKING CASE OF PS KAMLA MARKET AND ARE PRESENTLY ON COURT BAIL IN FIR NO. 139/25.

On 26.08.2026, an informant, aged 60 years, approached the Women Police Post and reported that her daughter ‘R’, aged 26 years, a married woman and mother of three children, had been missing from West Bengal since 02.05.2026. On 25.08.2026, the victim contacted her mother and disclosed that she was confined at Kotha No. 58, GB Road, Delhi, and sought help for her rescue.On receipt of the information, W/SI Kiran Sethi, In-charge AWPP, along with W/Ct. Komal and W/Ct. Rashmi, reached Kotha No. 58, GB Road, and rescued victim “R’’.

During enquiry, the victim disclosed that on 02.05.2026, while she was at a railway station in West Bengal, a man namely Kalu, aged about 30 years, lured her on the pretext of arranging employment and brought her to Delhi. He took possession of her mobile phone and subsequently sold her to Geeta, a caretaker of the brothel.

Accused Geeta kept the victim at her residence for about one month and thereafter brought her to Kotha No. 58, GB Road, where she was handed over to Reshma, owner of the brothel, who forced her into prostitution. The money earned by the victim was retained by Manju and Geeta.

During the enquiry, another woman “J”, aged 28 years, approached the Women Police Post seeking help and was also rescued from the same premises. Victim “J” disclosed that approximately two years ago, following a quarrel with her husband and mother-in-law in West Bengal, she left her home along with her 8-year-old son. While travelling towards Sealdah Railway Station, a woman gained her confidence by offering food and drinks to her son and subsequently took them to her house on the pretext of helping her.

The following day, the woman brought victim “J” and her son to New Delhi Railway Station and thereafter took them by auto to accused Geeta’s residence. On the next day, Geeta brought them to Kotha No. 58, GB Road.

Victim “J” was promised employment for sweeping and mopping work but was subsequently forced into prostitution. She further told that she was threatened that her son would be killed if she refused to comply. The money earned by her was retained by accused Geeta and Manju.

As per her statement, her son was subsequently taken to a hostel by accused Paro Khatoon, a caretaker and she was allowed to meet him only once every three to four months. Efforts are being made to trace and recover her son.

Both victims were medically examined at Lok Nayak Hospital, provided counselling and their statements were recorded. Separate cases were registered under the relevant provisions of law.

TEAM AND OPERATION

The operation was conducted by the staff of PS Kamla Market/Women Police Post on receipt of information regarding the confinement and exploitation of women at Kotha No. 58, GB Road. W/SI Kiran Sethi, In-charge AWPP, along with W/Ct. Komal and W/Ct. Rashmi, promptly reached the premises, rescued the victims and initiated legal action.

Further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the remaining persons involved in the trafficking and exploitation network.

ACCUSED ARRESTED

In the case pertaining to victim “R”:  Geeta,  Manju, both residents of GB Road, Delhi.

In the case pertaining to victim “J”:  Geeta R/o GB Road, Delhi; permanent resident of West Bengal; aged 55 years; Profession: Pimp/Caretaker of Brothel House, Manju R/o GB Road, Delhi; permanent resident of West Bengal; aged 58 years; Profession: Caretaker of Brothel House.  Paro Khatoon, R/o GB Road, Delhi; permanent resident of West Bengal; aged 29 years; Profession: Caretaker of Brothel House.

INTERROGATION : During enquiry/interrogation, the victims disclosed that they were brought to Delhi on the pretext of employment and subsequently forced into prostitution.

In the first case, the victim “R” stated that one Kalu lured her with a job offer, brought her to Delhi and subsequently sold her to accused Geeta. She further disclosed that accused Geeta and Manju retained the money earned by her.

In the second case, victim “J” disclosed that she was promised domestic work but was subsequently forced into prostitution. She further told that she was threatened with harm to her son if she refused to comply and that the money earned by her was retained by Geeta and Manju.

Further interrogation and investigation are in progress to ascertain the complete network and identify the roles of other persons involved.

RECOVERY : TWO FEMALE VICTIMS RESCUED FROM KOTHA NO. 58, GB ROAD.. ₹55,000/- CASH RECOVERED FROM THE BROTHEL PREMISES. TOKENS, REGISTER AND ELECTRICITY BILL RECOVERED FROM THE PREMISES.  EFFORTS ARE UNDERWAY TO TRACE AND RECOVER THE 8-YEAR-OLD SON OF VICTIM “J”.

PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENTS : During investigation, it was revealed that accused Paro Khatoon, Manju and Geeta had previously been involved in a similar case of human trafficking and exploitation registered at PS Kamla Market in 2025. They are presently on court bail in FIR No. 139/25, PS Kamla Market, pertaining to human trafficking.Further investigation is in progress to apprehend the remaining co-accused persons and ascertain their involvement in the trafficking and exploitation of the victims, said Mr. Rohit Rajbir Singh IPS, DCP, Central Distt.
