Ongoing “Drive Against Drugs” Distt. Crime Cell team arresting the drug supplier namely Tajinder Kumar and recovered 21.85 gram heroin was recovered from his possession. On 19.9.2026, one team headed by ASI Sudhir, 2175/CHG was on Crime Control and prevention patrolling duty in the area of Police Station Sector-11, Chandigarh, while the police party was near Rally ground Sector 25,UT, Chandigarh, on suspicion one person was apprehended, who disclosed his name as Tajinder Kumar @ Chocolate S/o Sh. Surender Kumar R/o # 3583, Sector 25D, Chandigarh, Aged 18 years and 21.85 gram heroin recovered from his possession. In this regard a CaseFIR No 119 dated 19.9.2026 U/S 21 NDPS Act PS-11, UT, Chandigarhregistered against him.
He allegedly involved in the illegal sale of Narcotic substances to earn illegal profits. He procured drug at a comparatively lower price and further sold it on higher rates to drug edicts in the area of Chandigarh. Further investigation is in progress to trace forward and backward linkages involved in the drug network.
