HARYANA GOVERNMENT APPOINTS LINK OFFICER TO ENSURE UNINTERRUPTED ADMINISTRATIVE WORK

Face2News/Chandigarh

The Haryana Government on Tuesday designated the Secretary, Special Secretary or Additional Secretary in charge of Secretariat Establishment as the link officer for the corresponding officer handling Monitoring and Coordination to ensure continuity of official work during vacancies or temporary absences.

According to an order issued by the Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi, the arrangement will apply when the officer concerned is unavailable due to leave, training, official tours, election duty, retirement, transfer or other reasons.

The order is aimed at preventing disruption of administrative work when the designated officer is absent or the post falls vacant.

The department said the arrangement had been made “to ensure smooth functioning of official work in the absence of the officer concerned.”The government has also directed the officer concerned to inform the designated link officer before proceeding on leave, training, official tours or election duty.
