Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Tuesday released the poster of TEJAS Olympiad 2026–27 at Punjab Raj Bhavan. The Olympiad is being organised by the Department of Holistic Education (DHE), Vidya Bharti Institute of Training & Research Trust (VBITR), Kurukshetra.

The occasion was attended by Vijay Kumar Nadda, Organising Secretary of Vidya Bharti North Zone; Chandrahas Gupta, Minister of Vidya Bharti North Zone; Navdeep Shekhar, Vice-President of Vidya Bharti Punjab; Mahavir Kaushik (IAS, Retd.), Patron of the Department of Holistic Education; and Sonu Agnihotri Sharma, Chairperson of DHE.

Other prominent attendees included Advocate Aarti Sharma, Media In-charge of Shiksha Mahakumbh; Prem Singh Khimta, Principal of Sharda Sarvhitkari Vidyalaya; Ramender Singh, Office Manager, DHE; Wing Commander Sanjeev Sharma; and Jyoti Tiwari, Convener of TEJAS Mathematics.

TEJAS stands for Talent Exploration for Junior Aspiring Scholars. It is an educational initiative of the Department of Holistic Education aimed at identifying students’ talents, encouraging their abilities and developing knowledge, logical thinking, linguistic proficiency and technological awareness among schoolchildren.

DHE began its Olympiad journey in 2025 with the DHE English Olympiad, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 10,000 students. Encouraged by the positive response from schools, teachers and students, the department has expanded the Olympiad series this year to include three subjects—Mathematics, English and Future Tech.

Under TEJAS Olympiad 2026–27, students from Classes 3 to 10 will be eligible to participate in Mathematics and English, while students from Classes 6 to 10 can participate in Future Tech.

The examinations will be conducted on the following dates in December 2026:

*Mathematics Olympiad: December 9, 2026
*English Olympiad: December 10, 2026
*uture Tech Olympiad: December 11, 2026

The Olympiads will be conducted offline at participating schools. Special TEJAS Olympiad preparation books will also be made available in all three subjects to help students prepare effectively. In addition, the department is working towards providing online mock tests to familiarise students with the examination pattern, question formats and difficulty levels.

TEJAS Olympiad is not merely an examination but an initiative to identify young talent, nurture curiosity and provide students with opportunities to develop their abilities. DHE aims to expand the initiative to schools across the country and bring more students under its ambit.
