The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Senior Section Engineer, New Katni Junction, West Central Railway, Katni (M.P.) on Saturday, in a Bribery case.
The CBI registered the instant case on 05.11.2026 against the said accused. It was alleged that the accused Senior Section Engineer demanded undue advantage of Rs. 45,000 from the complainant at the rate of Rs. 1,500 per Iabourer for 30 labourers, in consideration of not removing them from work.
The CBI laid a trap and caught the accused Senior Section Engineer red-handed while demanding and accepting undue advantage of Rs. 45,000 from the complainant at Katni (M.P.). Searches were conducted at the residence and office of the accused for recovery of incriminating documents and other relevant evidence.
The accused Senior Section Engineer has been arrested on 06.11.2026 and was produced before the Competent Court at Jabalpur. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody till 12.11.2026.
Investigation in the case is continuing.
