Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

A major incident of fire took place in the Timber Market Abohar, a day before Diwali. Here on Saturday night, a sudden fire broke out in the Som Hardware shop located on the Civil Hospital road. It took a horrific form within a few minutes and the entire part of the shop got caught in it and huge flames started coming out from the shop, due to which there was panic in the market.

As soon as the information about the fire was received, the fire brigade Vehicles reached the spot and started trying to extinguish the fire, but the fire was continuously increasing and then there was a danger of the nearby shops also getting affected. The fire brigade personnel not only extinguished the fire in the shop but also stopped it from spreading. The owner suffered a huge loss due to this incident of massive fire in the shop that had a huge stock.

Neighbour Pal Mistri, said he drove to Abohar from Dharangwala village at 9.30 PM after hearing about the fire incident and managed to save stock of furniture wood even as projection outside was damaged. The fire station staff were able to prevent the spread of fire to other parts of the market with half a dozen fire tenders which were called from the neighbouring towns.
