Members of the Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan visited the grave of Dulla Bhatti in Lahore to commemorate his 426th death anniversary.

Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi Chairman Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan, Malik Ehtishamul Hasan senior vice chairman, Shahbaz Rashid Qureshi central secretary and Dr Shahid Naseer additional secretary performed prayer.

(SUBHEAD)Imtiaz said that Dulla Bhatti was a protector of honors. He challenged the emperors when they were intoxicated with power. Bhatti is still alive in history. Lohri festival is celebrated in his memory all over the world.  Lohari song…..'DULLA BHATTI WALA' much popular song in India and Pakistan, even on glob.

He said that the administration of the oldest cemetery in Lahore around his grave destroyed the beauty of Bhatti's grave by building illegal graves on the three and a half Marla sites reserved for his grave by the Punjab government. Drug peddlers have set up a permanent camp in this historical cemetery.

Imtiaz said, “We demand from the Punjab government that encroachments around the grave should be removed. A beautiful memorial of Dulla Bhatti should be developed. His life history should be included in the education curriculum, a commemorative stamp and coins should be issued and the great warrior be given a hero’s status.”
