NCC cadets participated enthusiastically as Governor Gulab Chand Kataria led a large and impactful anti-drug rally that started from Railway Station and concluded at DAV College, Abohar.

This procession drew an impressive turnout of 432 NCC cadets from 25 Punjab Battalion NCC Abohar, accompanied by 7 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), Chief Training Officers (CTOs), and 6 Permanent Instructional (PI) staff. The cadets, full of zeal and military-style discipline, raised powerful chants, carried hard-hitting awareness placards, distributed informative material, and engaged directly with the public to drive home the urgency of rejecting drugs, supporting recovery, and building a brighter future for Punjab’s younger generation.

Governor Kataria praised the outstanding dedication, enthusiasm, and sense of national responsibility displayed by the NCC cadets and staff. He emphasized that their large-scale, active involvement is proving instrumental in transforming the anti-drug effort from a government initiative into a true people’s movement, with the disciplined youth at its forefront.

The participants said that consecutive padayatras build directly on the earlier successful marches, maintaining unstoppable momentum across the border districts. Under the Governor’s leadership, the campaign continues to send a strong, unified message: Punjab is collectively committed to eradicating drugs once and for all and securing a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous future for its people
