After gifting a grand Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha has now developed an artistic Mandir in the seaside city of Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania.
Dar-es-Salaam is the largest city, industrial center and major port of Tanzania, East Africa.
Many saints from India and other countries reached Dar-e-Salaam. The Mandir Mahotsav was organized in the gracious presence of Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj. This included programs like World Peace Mahayagya, idol installation ceremony and Nagar Yatra. Children and youth also displayed Indian culture very well during the Mahotsav.
(SUBHEAD)The Mahapuja was led by Gandhinagar Akshardham in-charge Anandswarup Swami, Priyavrat Swami, Shrutiprakash Swami etc. In the consecration of the idol, Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj was supported by the organization's senior saints Ishwarcharan Swami, Tyagvallabh Swami etc. Brahmavihari Swami, in-charge of Abu Dhabi temple was especially present.
Hundreds of devotees enthusiastically participated in this festival with their families. Band playing and folk dance also had special attractions in the Nagar Yatra organized on this occasion.
People welcomed the Nagar Yatra by showering flowers as it passed through the main roads. They said that the establishment of this temple in Africa will lead to a special spread of Sanatan culture. African leaders also reached the meeting venue to have darshan of Mahant Swami ji Maharaj.
