KOMPTE BADMINTON TOURNAMENT ORGANIZED WITH THE SUPPORT OF FIT INDIA MOVEMENT

TOURNAMENT WAS AIMED TO PROMOTE SPORTING SPIRIT

In wake of promoting sporting spirit, The Kompte Badminton Tournament 2024 was organised with the support of Fit India Movement at Sports Complex Badminton Hall, Sector 7, Chandigarh. The event was well participated by over 450 shuttlers from across the region and Chandigarh tricity.

Mayank Agarwal won the men's open title by defeating Utkarsh Gusain 21-16, 21-19. While the pair of Utkarsh Gusain and Satwinder Singh and Devanshi Beki defeated the duo of Satwinder and Navdeep 21-15, 16-21, 21-19.

Arjun Bir Singh Batra won the boys under 15 title defeating Ayushman Chauhan 21-17, 21-19. In the 50 plus men's doubles category Saty Prakash and Ajay Dharni defeated Aman Singh and Jaspal Singh 21-12, 16-21, 21-17 to win the title.

In another 40 plus men's category the pair of Rajkumar and Dr. Shantanu won the title defeating Bashir Ahmed and Nitin Chhokar. Apart from these categories, matches were also played in ten other categories including women. Organiser Karan Bhardwaj, former DGP Punjab, Dr Chandershekhar (IPS) and sports and social worker Mohit Bansal awarded the winners.
