DIPLOMATS DELIGHTED BY ANNAKUT DARSHAN

A distinguished group of diplomats representing various countries visited the BAPS Mandir in Dadar, Mumbai, with their families, for darshan of the New Year’s Day annakut offered at the mandir. The visit was organized by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Djibouti in collaboration with BAPS.

The distinguished guests included the UK High Commissioner, Consul General of Sweden, Consul General of China, Consul General of Indonesia, Consul General of Belarus, Consul General of Chile, Consul General of Sri Lanka, Consul General of Hungary, High Commissioner of Ghana, High Commissioner of Nicaragua, and Chief of Protocol, Maharashtra.

(SUBHEAD)After a traditional welcome, the diplomats had the darshan of the 1,700 vegetarian food items offered in the annakut to the deities and then participated in the arti ritual.

The guests were genuinely mesmerized by the experience, expressing that they had never before felt such positive energy and serenity. For many, this was also their first true realization of the richness and diversity that vegetarian cuisine has to offer, extending far beyond the typical salads.

The guests left with cherished memories and a renewed outlook on the beauty of Indian traditions
