(MOREPIC1)Rasam Uthala and Prayer Meeting for Sushma Hiteshi, who left for heavenly abode on Tuesday, will be held at Aggarwal Bhawan, Sector-16, Panchkula on Friday 4th October at 2 pm.
Sushma was wife of Bharat Hiteshi and daughter-in-law of Mathura Dass Hiteshi, veteran journalist and former Chairman of Improvement Trust Abohar. She was the chairperson of Shagan Lal Ahuja Memorial Charitable Trust and had been carrying out several welfare activities for needy children.
She was battling cancer for a long time and as per her last wish, the body was donated to Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh for research.
Among those who reached Hiteshi family’s Panchkula residence to share grief and sorrow included Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta and Mayor Kul Bhushan Goyal. Hundreds of people from all walks of life bid her a tearful adieu.
The demise also sent a shock wave in Hiteshi family’s native town Abohar as well Muktsar where Sushma was born.
