The Special Judge, CBI Cases, No. 04, Jaipur has sentenced Shri. Jatan Singh Meena, then Sr. Parcel Clerk, Parcel Office, Jaipur Railway Station, NWR, Jaipur to 04 years’ Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) with fine of Rs. 30,000/- in a case related to bribery.
CBI had registered a case on 16.04.2015 against accused Shri Jatan Singh Meena, Parcel Clerk, Jaipur Railway Station, NWR, Jaipur on a complaint. It was alleged that accused demanded illegal gratification of Rs. 20,000/- (monthly) from the complainant to enable him to smoothly carry out his contract of loading and unloading of parcels at Jaipur Railway Station.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000/- from complainant. Later accused was arrested.
After investigation, charge sheet was filed on 01.07.2015 against accused. The Court, after trial, found the accused guilty and sentenced him accordingly.
