SIDHWAN BRANCH, OFF-TAKING FROM SIRHIND CANAL, TO REMAIN CLOSED FOR 31 DAYS

Punjab Water Resources Department has decided to close the Sidhwan branch for 31 days.  

Disclosing this here, the official spokesperson said that keeping in view the weather condition and status of crops, it is notified that Sidhwan Branch, off-taking from Sirhind Canal, will remain closed for 31 days from 12 October, 2024 to 11 November, 2024 (both days inclusive) to complete the works of construction of bridges and cleaning work of canal. 

The notification in this regard has been issued under the Rule-63 of Rules framed under the Northern India Canal and Drainage Act, 1873 (Act No VIII of 1873).
