To tighten the noose around the illegal activities in the region, massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was carried out at drug infected hotspots to nab the suspected drug peddlers and criminal elements.
The search operations were supervised by SSP Saumya Mishra besides other senior officials including SP (D) Randhir Kumar, SP (H) Jugraj Singh, DSP (D) Balkar Singh, DSP (City) Sukhwinder Singh, DSP (Rural) Rajesh Kumar, DSP (Zira) Gurdip Singh and DSP (Guruharsahai) Atul Soni besides several other police officials who were also involved in this exercise.
SP (D) Randhir Kumar said that special Nakas were deployed in and around Ferozepur city and rural, Zira and Guruharsahai and then systematic search was carried out during which 660 gram Heroin was recovered besides six persons were arrested. In this connection, eleven FIRs were registered for respective recoveries. “In addition to that, the police also “challaned” the vehilces and also impounded suspected vehicles”, said SP Randhir
SSP Saumya Mishra said that the district police was fully prepared to thwart the sinister designs of the anti-social elements, criminals, drug smugglers and other criminal elements.
