ADDL CEO OF PUNJAB VISITS FAZILKA, REVIEWS COUNTING ARRANGEMENTS

Additional Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab Harish Nayar visited Fazilka today and reviewed the counting arrangements done hare by District Administration.

Nayar said that all the preparations related to the elections should be done in strict compliance with the instructions of the Election Commission of India and the strong room should be under three layers of security and the entire process should be monitored with CCTV. He said that the EVM machines from the strong room to the counting center will be moved under security cover and all the preparations related to the counting should be completed by May 30.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal welcomed Harish Nair and said that the counting of Abohar and Balluana assembly segments will be held at Abohar while the counting of Fazilka and Jalalabad will be held at Fazilka's Senior Secondary School for Boys. She said that the representatives of the candidates will also be able to see the feed of the CCTV cameras installed in the strong room from the day of voting to the day of counting.

ADC Rakesh Kumar Popli said that a media center is also being established to share the results with the media during the counting.
