Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Dr Senu Duggal made a surprise visit to the Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital in Abohar on Sunday evening and inspected the complex.
She visited different wards of the 100-bed hospital that meets the needs of hundreds of patients from Abohar and Balluana constituencies and got to know the condition of the patients undergoing treatment here. She also reviewed the sanitary arrangements and other medical facilities.
Dr. Duggal said that no doctor was present to attend emergencies. She strictly reprimanded the concerned doctor not to go out of the hospital under any circumstances during duty hours when the concerned doctor turned up and explained that she was near the hospital.
The DC directed the concerned authorities to improve the hygiene system in the hospital. SDM Pankaj Bansal was also present on the occasion.
