K SULTANOV AND R RAMANATHAN IN FINALS

Top seed Khumoyun Sultanov of Uzbekistan and second seed Ramkumar Ramanathan of India moved into men’s singles finals of the M15 Chandigarh ITF World Tour Tennis Men’s (US$-15K prize money) Tournament at Sector-10 Tennis Stadium here .

Khumoyun Sultanov defeated third seed Sasikumar Mukund of India in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. Sultanov played high level tennis, Sultanov dominant throughout the match with his aggressive ground stroke from the baseline.

In the another semifinal match second seed Ramkumar Ramanathan (IND) outplayed fourth seed Nam Hoang Ly (VIE) in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. Davis Cupper R. Ramanathan used his big serves in important points, finally Ramanathan used his experience and closed the set and match without getting much pressure. Ramanathan will play Sultanov in the Men's singles finals tomorrow.

(MOREPIC1) (SUBHEAD)  Korean pair of Yunseok Jang (KOR) and Woobin Shin (KOR) lifted the men's doubles title. They defeated third seed Siddhant Banthia (IND) and Karan Singh (IND) 6-4, 7-6 (11).

Dr. Reet Mahinder Singh, Executive Member,CLTA distributed the prizes to the winners and runners-up of men’s doubles events.
