To honour the meritorious students of Gopichand Arya Mahila College, the Duggal and Nagpal Merit Scholarship is awarded every year by the former Head of the English Department, Dr. Indu Prabha and the present HoD Dr. Aarti Kapoor.
In the memory of her father, Dr. Indu Prabha honored the top five students of MA English Naiya, Preksha Godara, Arju Rani, Alisha Sethi, Navdeep Kaur withthe SP Duggal Merit Scholarship by providing Rs 1100 per student.
Dr. Aarti Kapoor honoured M.A. English topper Anima with Rs. 5100/- under Pushpa Nagpal Merit Scholarship. 10 students Naiya, Preksha Godara, Arju Rani, Alisha Sethi, Navdeep Kaur, Anku Trikha, Aagya Deep, Srishti, Anjali Rani, Nishu got Rs 1100 per student as scholarship in the memory of Dr. Aarti’s father and brother.
Harmandeep Kaur, a former student of MA English, was honored by the department with a trophy for passing the NET examination of July 2023.
Principal Dr. Rekha Sood Handa wished the students of MA English who received the scholarship a bright future.
