Dr. Mohit Tantia, Vice Chairman, Tantia University, has been nominated as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. This appointment has been made for two years on the recommendation of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

This institution of the Government of India works for the welfare and upliftment of disabled people. In this, the Joint Secretary of the concerned department is the chairperson, the Finance Advisor is the member and the Director of NILD is the member secretary. The working committee includes only two non-official members from across the country, Dr. Mohit Tantia from Sriganganagar and Dr. Yogesh Dubey from Mumbai.

People said that it is a matter of pride for the Sriganganagar region that perhaps for the first time a person from this area has got the opportunity of representation in such a national level committee
