UT GIRLS REGISTERED A CONVINCING WIN OVER BIHAR BY 135 RUNS

A splendid century knock from Aaradhna Bisht followed by six-wicket haul by Jyoti Kumar helped Chandigarh to register a resounding win of 135 runs over Bihar at the ongoing Women's Under 23 ODI tournament being played at Lucknow.

Chandigarh won the toss and decided to bat first. Aaradhana Bisht's knock helped the team to recover from 16/2. Bisht scored 114 runs with the help of 13 boundaries and two sixes while Twinkle Pathak added 74 runs studded with 15 fours. With Shivangi's contribution of 41 runs, UT girls amassed 257/5 in the stipulated fifty overs. In reply, Jyoti Kumari (6/17) gave Bihar a tough time with 38/5 on the board. Team couldn’t recover and bundled out for 122 runs in the 47th over. Shruti (30) was the top scorer while Parushi Prabhakar (2/10) took wickets.Chandigarh's next match is against Maharashtra on February 5. 

Chandigarh goes wicketless as Punjab piled a mammoth of 477/2

The home team remained wicketless on the second day of the Ranji Trophy match being played against Punjab at the Cricket Stadium, Sector 16, Chandigarh. Punjab, while resuming its innings of 307/2, scored 477/2 before the stumps were drawn. Unbeaten Anmolpreet Singh scored 205 with the help of 25 boundaries while wicketkeeper batter Prabhsimran Singh added 171 runs with 20 fours and four sixes.
