Eight years ago, January 18 was a historic day for Liladhar Sharma, a senior journalist and leading social activist who has had friendly bonds with the Border Security Force (BSF) for the last 55 years. At the International Border, his birthday was celebrated.
BSF officials shared the happy moments by cutting a cake and honouring him. The monthly meeting held between the two countries located on the Indian border was attended by BSF Commandants Murari Prasad Singh (current DIG), Ajay Kumar, N.S. Sohi, Kulwant Kumar and other officers. Together with Liladhar Sharma they got the cake cut and sweets were served.
Pak Ranger officers standing on the border of Pakistan congratulated Liladhar Sharma by showering flowers. At the zero line of the border, BSF Commandant MP Singh and Pakistan Rangers Officer Afzal Chaudhary together honored Liladhar Sharma by presenting him a shield.
