DC NISHANT KUMAR YADAV FLAGGED OFF FUNERAL VAN

The funeral van was provided to the Chandigarh Red Cross Society by Rotary Club Chandigarh Midtown and Gurukul Global School Chandigarh

Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman, Red Cross Chandigarh, today flagged off a newly procured Funeral Van at the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Sector-17 Chandigarh.

Sh. Amandeep Singh Bhatti, Secretary, Red Cross, Punam Malik, Nodal Officer, Ms. Neena Setya, Managing Director, Gurukul Global School and Dr. Rita Kalra. District Governor, Sh. Jagwinder Singh Bawa, President and Sh. Kulvinder S. Chhatwal, Secretary, Rotary Chandigarh Midtown were also present during the flag-off ceremony.

The Funeral Van has been provided to the Chandigarh Red Cross Society by Rotary Club Chandigarh Midtown and Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh. The newly inducted Funeral van will significantly strengthen the emergency response and humanitarian services being rendered by the Chandigarh Red Cross Society in Chandigarh. It will be utilized for emergency assistance, for the benefit of the general public.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman, Red Cross Chandigarh stated that the Funeral Van will remain at their service, especially in times of medical emergencies and urgent need. He expressed confidence that the addition of this vehicle would further enhance healthcare accessibility and support community welfare initiatives.

The Chairman appreciated the valuable role being played by the Chandigarh Red Cross Society in serving humanity and also appreciated valuable support and long standing association of Rotary Club Chandigarh Midtown with Chandigarh Red Cross.
