DR. GURRAJ SINGH CHAHAL GETS OVERWHELMING SUPPORT FROM HOME TOWN

Dr. Gurraj Singh Chahal is getting huge support from the people of Abohar area during the campaign for the Senate elections of Panjab University Chandigarh.

Teaching and non-teaching staff of DAV College, DAV College of Education, Gopichand Arya Mahila College and DAV Schools (Abohar and Haripura) jointly campaigned in Abohar city in support of Gurraj Singh (Serial No. 13), candidate of DAV College Managing Committee in the Panjab University, Chandigarh Senate Election (Graduate Constituency).

The campaign was led by Principal Dr. R.K. Mahajan, eminent social activist Naresh Khurana, Dr. Vijay Grover and Principal Sukhdev Singh, in which more than 100 teachers from these institutions participated. The people of the city gave tremendous support and cooperation during this campaign. Candidate Gurraj Singh expressed his gratitude towards the sentiments and support of the city residents and demonstrated his commitment towards the upliftment of education.

The campaigners recalled that Dr. Chahal had emerged as one of the most talented teachers who had been prominently working to promote literature, extra mural activities besides taking the cause of deserving and needy students throughout his service in the DAV College Abohar. It was surprising that he got PhD degree just three months before superannuation of service as HoD Punjabi Department in the DAV College.
