HARYANA ANNOUNCES PANCHKULA, AMBALA AND SONIPAT CIVIC ELECTIONS MODEL CODE OF CONDUCT COMES INTO FORCE

The Haryana State Election Commission has officially announced the Municipal Corporation elections in Panchkula, Ambala, and Sonipat, along with other civic bodies and by elections of 528 Panchayats. Code of conduct come into force  from today.

According to election process notification will be issued on April 15, 2026, Filing of nomination from 21 to 25 April, Secruitny on April 27, withdrawl of nomination on 28 April and same day allotment of symbols, voting on May 10, 2026 (8 AM to 6 PM) Counting and results on 13 May 2026

Municipal Corporations: Panchkula, Ambala andSonipat

OTHER CIVIC BODIES
Municipal Council: Rewari
Municipalities: Sampla, Uklana, Dharuhera

Seats & Reservation
Panchkula: 20 wards , 9 reserved (Women/SC/BC), 11 general
Ambala: 20 wards (10 reserved, 10 general)
Sonipat: 22 wards (11 reserved, 11 general)

EXPENDITURE LIMIT
Mayor candidate: ₹30 lakh
Ward member: ₹7.5 lakh

2 Zila Parishad Members
