The anticipatory bail application moved by Madhu Kishwar in case FIR 44/26, PS 26, Chandigarh in Punjab and Haryana High Court has been dismissed on Friday.
It has been observed that despite being served several notices, the applicant has not cooperated with the investigation of the case.
The applicant has a significant social media presence and after her posts on twitter regaridng the fake video, the video got further amplified on social media. The Court has observed that casting aspersions and maligning a constitutional authority may create social disharmony.
Further, the court has observed that since the investigation of the case is still in nascent stage, criminality of the applicant cannot be ruled out at this stage.
The anticipatory bail of Madhu Kishwar was earlier dismissed by Ld. Court of ACJM on 08/05/26
