In a solemn and patriotic ceremony, cadets and staff of 13 Punjab Battalion NCC under Ludhiana NCC Group commemorated the first anniversary of “Operation Sindoor” at the historic Barki War Memorial on Thursday.

Col C S Sharma Commanding Officer, 13 Punjab Battalion said that the programme began with a wreath laying ceremony at the memorial, where NCC cadets paid homage to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation. This was followed by the hoisting of the National Flag at the battalion premises. Cadets from three institutions affiliated with 13 Punjab Battalion NCC participated enthusiastically in the event.

Col Sharma said that the commemoration was organised to honour the courage, dedication and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces. During the ceremony, the cadets remembered the martyrs with pride and expressed their commitment towards serving the nation with the same spirit of patriotism and dedication.

The event created an atmosphere filled with national pride and emotional remembrance, while inspiring the young cadets to contribute selflessly towards nation-building and the vision of a “Viksit Bharat”.
