BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER LINDY CAMERON OFFERS PRAYERS AT AKSHARDHAM, GANDHINAGAR

The British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, visited the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Gandhinagar. She offered heartfelt prayers for the victims of the recent Air India tragedy. Her visit to the spiritual and cultural landmark included a solemn moment of reflection and tribute to those who lost their lives.

Cameron also acknowledged the courage and dedication of the first responders, rescue teams, and local communities who played a vital role in the aftermath of the incident. She praised their tireless efforts in providing aid and comfort during such a devastating time and expressed solidarity with those directly impacted by the tragedy.

Expressing deep condolences on behalf of the United Kingdom, she extended her support to the grieving families, noting that such tragedies remind us of our shared humanity and the importance of global compassion.

BAPS expressed appreciation for the High Commissioner’s presence and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting those affected. The visit stood as a moving gesture of empathy, unity, and respect for all who have been touched by the tragedy.

Earlier, during an assembly in Surat, BAPS chief Mahant Swami joined swamis and devotees in dhun, offering collective prayers. On his call, special prayers were held on Friday during the morning assemblies. On Sunday, June 15, BAPS centers across the world will offer special prayers during their weekly assemblies. EOM
