JOINT INSPECTION CONDUCTED AT SECTOR 16 CRICKET STADIUM

A joint inspection of the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium was conducted by Sanjay Tandon, President, UT Cricket Association (UTCA), along with Prerna Puri, IAS, Secretary Sports, UT Chandigarh; Sorabh Arora, Director Sports; CB. Ojha, Chief Engineer; Alok Krishan, Treasurer, UTCA; and other officials from the Horticulture, Engineering and Sports Departments including Deepinder Singh, a BCCI-qualified pitch curator who is voluntarily offering his expert services.

The inspection team reviewed the ongoing upgradation work and expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of preparations.

The stadium is expected to be fully match-ready by August 15. UTCA officials are confident that the facility will soon be able to host competitive matches, providing players with top-notch playing conditions and amenities.
