Talented cricketer Aditi Sheoran of the Union Territory Cricket Association (UTCA) was honoured with the prestigious State Award on the occasion of Independence Day. She becomes the second UTCA player after Kashvee Gautam to receive this honour.

(MOREPIC1) Aditi represents the Chandigarh women’s team in BCCI tournaments. She made her mark in the 2024 BCCI Under-15 Tournament with an impressive performance and has also featured in the 2025 BCCI Under-19 One-Day matches. An all-rounder, Aditi contributes as a top-order batter and a spin bowler.

Recognising her exceptional achievements at a young age, the Chandigarh Administration selected her for this year’s State Award. Notably, this is the first time that a girl cricketer at the school level has been chosen for the State Award by the Chandigarh Administration.

So far, Aditi has won nine medals, including gold, across cricket and other sports. A Class 10 student of Carmel Convent School, she also played a pivotal role in leading her team to victory in the 2024 Gully Cricket Tournament organised by UTCA, where she was adjudged Player of the Match in all games for her all-round performances.

Congratulating her on this recognition, UTCA President Sanjay Tandon praised Aditi’s dedication and wished her continued success.

Earlier this year, on January 26, 2025, she was also felicitated by the Government of Haryana for her sporting achievements during the Republic Day celebrations in Sonipat, where she was honoured by Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi.
