The sale of liquor will be completely banned in Batala city. Additional District Magistrate Gurdaspur Dr. Harjinder Singh Bedi has taken this decision on the occasion of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's holy wedding day. According to the order, all local and English liquor shops within the limits of Municipal Corporation Batala will remain closed. Along with this, there will be complete ban on sale and storage of liquor. These rules will also apply to all hotels, clubs and bars in the city.
