DRUGS WORTH 87 THOUSANDS SEIZED DURING RAID AT MEDICAL STORE IN SECTOR 32-D

Under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan and under the guidance of Shri Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, Secretary, Health, U.T. Chandigarh and the directions of Dr. Suman Singh, Director Health Services, a raid was conducted today at M/s Pammi Medicos, Sector 32-D, Chandigarh, following a complaint received through the helpline.

Drugs Inspector Shri Amit Lakhanpal, accompanied by police personnel from Police Station, Sector 34, Chandigarh, conducted the raid. Nine types of drugs were seized following the non-production of purchase and sale records and violations of storage conditions for life-saving medicines.

The seized medicines included a total of 100 tablets containing tapentadol, zolpidem and alprazolam, two Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) kits and 40 insulin prefilled syringes found stored at room temperature. The total value of the seized drugs is approximately ₹87,000.
