AGRI. MINISTER KHUDIAN DISTRIBUTES RELIEF MATERIAL IN JALALABAD

(MOREPIC1)Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian visited Fazilka district for the second consecutive day. He inspected the flood-affected villages of Dhani Bachan Singh, Atuwala, and Dhani Natha Singh in the Jalalabad Assembly constituency. Jalalabad MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy accompanied him.

The Minister assured villagers that the Punjab Government stands strongly with them in this difficult time. He said that proper girdawari (crop loss assessment) will be carried out and compensation will be provided to the affected farmers. He further clarified that the compensation policy is decided by the Central Government, and continuous pressure is being exerted on the Centre to increase the compensation rate to Rs 25,000 per acre.

He said that the Punjab Government is ensuring all possible immediate assistance to the flood-affected people. Relief kits for families, as well as cattle feed and fodder for animals, are being supplied to the affected villages. He personally supervised the distribution of maize silage and cattle feed for livestock.

MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy said that through the administration, continuous efforts are being made to ensure that every affected person receives relief and that no family is left deprived of assistance
