An Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) deputed by the Union Government today visited various flood-affected areas in this district to assess the damage caused by the recent floods.

The team comprised Santosh Kumar Tiwari (Director, MoRD), besidea Laxman Ram Buldak (Director, Agriculture, Jaipur), Prakash Chand (Deputy Director, Ministry of Jal Shakti), and R.K. Tiwari (Ministry of Power, CEA, New Delhi).

The officers interacted with the district administration and local residents to take stock of the situation on ground. They carried out spot inspections in different villages to evaluate crop loss, damage to infrastructure, and the relief measures being undertaken by the Punjab Government.

Special Secretary Revenue, Punjab, along with district officials, coordinated the visit and briefed the team about ongoing rescue and rehabilitation efforts. The findings of the IMCT will be shared with the Central Government to chalk out further relief and compensation measures.
