(MOREPIC1)Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy drove a tractor loaded with animal feed to the flood-affected hamlet of Natha Singh Dhani, where he distributed the feed himself and inquired about the condition of the villagers. He also praised the resilience and courage shown by the people during this crisis.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said it was extremely unfortunate that crops, nurtured like their own children, had been destroyed due to this natural calamity. “Our brave people have not only faced wars but also continue to stand strong in the face of natural disasters,” he said. “For me, my constituency is my family, and I am standing here today because of my people. I am committed to extending every possible help.”

Goldy added that apart from providing feed, ration, and tarpaulins, his priority was to ensure that the lands of the affected farmers are restored and strengthened, which is their key demand. He mentioned that ever since the flood waters hit the constituency, he has been continuously visiting villages to check on the situation.

Villagers praised the MLA for reaching their area, including the main gate BSF post at Natha Singh Dhani, and later visiting damaged crops in villages such as Dhani Kadim, Phulewala, Peere Ka, and Prabhat Singh Wala through the Laxman Canal route. They said the MLA had assured them of compensation for their damaged crops. While appreciating the Punjab Government’s efforts in providing relief material and ration, they also urged the Central Government to extend support to people living in border areas.
