RELIEF OPERATIONS INTENSIFIED IN FAZILKA; MORE SUPPLIES DISTRIBUTED

Rajya Sabha Member Sanjay Singh and Punjab Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond today visited the flood-affected border villages of Fazilka district. Reaching Gulaba Bhaini village by boat, they personally distributed relief material among the affected families.

(MOREPIC1)The MP lauded the commendable efforts of the district administration and social service organizations, stating that in this hour of crisis, communal harmony has strengthened as people extend help to one another.

Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond said that with water levels now receding, preparations have begun for the next phase of challenges such as controlling water-borne diseases and assessing the damage. He assured that medical teams, veterinary units, and district officials are actively engaged to ensure timely relief reaches every affected individual.

Fazilka MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna apprised the visiting leaders of local issues and shared updates on ongoing relief efforts.

MP Sanjay Singh also brought a truckload of essential supplies which is being distributed among the affected villages. At Gulaba Bhaini, he handed over relief material directly to families and praised their resilience in supporting government efforts during this difficult time.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Subhash Chander and SDM Veerpal Kaur were also present.
