The 25 Punjab Battalion NCC, Malout, launched the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-62, Pre RDC-1) at the NCC Academy, Malout. The camp is being held under the leadership of Col Rajeev Sirohi, Camp Commandant, and Lt Col Gaurav Nyol, Deputy Camp Commandant. A total of 518 cadets from institutions under 25 PB Bn, Abohar, and other units of Group Headquarters, Ludhiana, are participating.

In the activities which include physical training, firing, drill, and handling .22 rifles, alongside sessions on personality development, leadership, stress and time management, disaster management, first aid, social service, obstacle training, map reading, and field and battle craft, cadets will also showcase their talents in cultural events such as songs, dances, and skits.

A key highlight of the camp is the selection process for the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) in New Delhi next year. Cadets will compete at the group level, with top performers advancing to the Directorate-level competition for final RDC selection.

Col Rajeev Sirohi urged the cadets to seize this opportunity to learn about Army routines, embrace unity in diversity, and prepare for their Certificate exams at the end of the training year. He emphasized the importance of NCC training in fostering discipline, confidence, and leadership qualities, encouraging cadets to aspire to become exemplary citizens.
