38 AYURVEDIC DOCTORS AND 7 YOGACHARYA HONOURED ON DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF SWAMI KESHWANAND

On the 53rd death anniversary of the two-time MP Swami Keshwanand, 38 Ayurvedic doctors and 7 Yogacharya were honoured today at Sahitya Sadan, established by him 101 years ago. They were honoured by chief guest Mayor Vimal Thatai along with Principal of Gopichand Arya Mahila College Dr. Rekha Sood Handa, Raghubir Singh Bhadu Waryamkhera, great-granddaughter of freedom fighter Lala Chandi Ram Verma, Nenika Verma and Lekhak Parishad President Raj Sadosh.

Significantly, Jaiveer Jakhar, great-grandson of late Balram Jakhar, who was Swami ji's closest associate, Ravikant Rinwa, great-grandson of former head of the Sadan Hazari Lal Rinwa, current head Suryakant Rinwa, Mani Ram Siyag of Jhumianwali, educationist Saroj Nagpal were present.

Ashok Shastri conducted Havan Yagya. Sadan in-charge Dr. Sandeep Watts elaborated on the Ayurvedic system of medicine.

Mayor Vimal Thatai offered floral tribute at Swami ji's memorial and said that Swami ji did a historic work by building Sahitya Sadan in Abohar, Gramotthan Vidyapeeth in Sangria and 286 schools in Rajasthan besides spearheading a strong campaign against child marriage, illiteracy and death feast.

On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, students of Gopichand Arya Mahila College, Bhavya Verma, Mehak Sharma, Rizvi Chopra and Tanupreet Kaur recited poems and won a lot of accolades. They were also honored by the organizers.
