25 PB Battalion NCC Abohar has commenced its Annual Training Camp-66 (ATC-66) at NCC Academy Malout. A total of 509 cadets from various educational institutions with NCC units in Abohar and Fazilka districts have reported for the 10-day intensive training programme.

Inaugurating the camp, Col Rajeev Sirohi, Camp Commandant emphasized the camp’s core objective—to instill the Army way of life and prepare cadets for their certification examinations.

(SUBHEAD)The cadets received detailed briefings regarding key training modules which will be implemented during the camp including drill training, weapon training, field craft and battle craft, map reading, firing practice, focus on personality development, inculcating leadership qualities, SSCD activities, information about NCC incentives and how to join Armed Forces, health and hygiene aspects, and an online interactive session on Cyber First Responders. Administrative instructions focused on maintaining cleanliness of the academy, line areas, washrooms, and personal hygiene were also issued. Cadets were educated on the values of unity and adaptability in diverse situations.

The camp is being overseen by Lt Col Gaurav Nyol, Deputy Camp Commandant, Sub Sandeep (Senior JCO), Associate NCC Officers, Permanent Instructor staff, and civilian employees. The civil administration is extending full support for the smooth conduct of the camp.

Upon successful completion, cadets will receive participation certificates, making them eligible to appear for ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ Certificate examinations at the end of the training year.
