The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Delhi Police, PS Jyoti Nagar, New Delhi, while accepting a bribe of Rs. 2.4 lakh form the complainant.
CBI registered the instant case on 09.11.2025 against the said accused. It was alleged by the complainant that the accused demanded bribe of Rs. 15 lakh from the complainant for submitting a favorable verification report with respect to a property of the complainant situated at Meet Nagar in a case pending in the Karkardooma Court, Delhi. The accused threatened that he would submit an adverse report against the complainant if the bribe was not paid.
CBI laid a trap on 09.11.2025 and caught the accused ASI red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs.2.40 lakh from complainant as part payment. The aforesaid accused person has been apprehended.
