On 14th November 2025, under the leadership of the State-Level Bankers’ Committee, Punjab, large-scale awareness camps will be organized in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Patiala, and Mohali for the speedy settlement of unclaimed assets.

Ramkishore Meena, Deputy General Manager of Punjab National Bank, stated that senior district managers, in coordination with all financial institutions, will organize these camps in accordance with the guidelines of the Government of India and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

The camps will see participation from top officials of banks, insurance, pension, and mutual fund departments. Mr. Meena highlighted that if funds deposited in a bank remain unclaimed for 10 years, they are transferred to the Reserve Bank of India. The camps will provide detailed guidance on how such unclaimed old deposits, mutual funds, and insurance amounts can be reclaimed.

These awareness camps are being conducted across states to ensure that unclaimed deposits are returned to their rightful owners, nominated persons, or legal heirs.

The initiative is part of the “Your Capital – Your Right” public awareness campaign launched by the Ministry of Finance, running from 1st October 2025 to 31st December 2025. Similar awareness camps will continue to be organized in every district in the coming days.
