NCC ORGANISES VIBRANT VILLAGE PROGRAMME-II AT MOHAMMAD PIRA

25 Punjab Battalion NCC, Abohar, under the guidance of Col Rajeev Sirohi, Commanding Officer, conducted a Vibrant Village Programme at Village Muhammad Pira, 1.5 Km from the IB to commemorate and promote the spirit of villagers for national song 'Vande Matram'.

Activities included Awareness lecture/Interaction to educate local populace on Govt's initiative of Vibrant Village Programme aimed towards comprehensive infrastructure development, livelihood opportunities, improved educational infrastructure, enhancing border security and National integration.

Awareness lecture on Digital Economy, NCC Day importance and ill-effects of drug abuse was conducted to educate the common masses.

Tree plantation drive was carried to spread knowledge on the scheme 'Green India Wasteland', highlighting the importance of planting trees, saving water and protecting our environment was also organised. An awareness rally was conducted in the village to instill the spirit of patriotism in the villages based on the theme of 'Vande Matram' national Song. Friendly Volleyball match between local youth of village and NCC cadets was held to foster a sense of belongingness and Community engagement.

During the motivational to 'War Memorial, Asafwala' cadets paid homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation defending the borders.
