CYBER FIRST RESPONDERS SESSION CONDUCTED DURING ATC-71

A Cyber First Responders Session was conducted during the Annual Training Camp (ATC-71) of 25 Punjab Battalion NCC, Abohar, at NCC Academy, Malout, under the guidance of Col Rajeev Sirohi Camp Commandant and Lt Col Gaurav Nyol Dy Camp Commandant. 

The session was organized in collaboration with the United Service Institution of India (USI) and conducted by a distinguished panel comprising Group Captain Pranay Dixit Vayu Seva Medal (Retd), Senior Research Fellow, USI; Jyotsna Dube, Project Coordinator, USI; and Tushar Sharma, subject expert. 

The interactive session began with the introduction of the panel members, followed by a comprehensive talk by Tushar Sharma, a subject matter expert, who engaged the audience through relatable examples and simple illustrations. 

Key topics covered included Types of cybercrimes, Safe online practices and precautions against unknown links, Awareness about financial frauds, Understanding spyware and malware threats and Importance of strong passwords and constant vigilance in cyberspace. 

An engaging Q&A session was conducted which encouraged cadets to clarify their doubts and enhanced their understanding of the subject. 

The initiative aimed to empower cadets as responsible digital citizens and promote cybersecurity awareness among their families, peers and communities. Participants were also awarded Google-certified e-certificates, empowering a valuable credential to their professional growth and achievements.
